About Bharti Mahila Shakti Foundation
Empowering women through access to menstrual hygiene products, health education, and community support since 2019.
Our StoryOur Story
Founded in 2019, Bharti Mahila Shakti Foundation emerged from a simple observation: millions of women and girls in India lack access to safe, affordable menstrual hygiene products and proper health education.
Our founder, Dr. Anjali Mehta, witnessed firsthand how menstrual health challenges were affecting girls' education, women's economic participation, and overall well-being in rural and underserved communities. What started as a small initiative to distribute sanitary products has grown into a comprehensive movement for menstrual equity.
Today, we operate on a sustainable social enterprise model where profits from our product sales directly fund our foundation's initiatives. This allows us to provide free menstrual products to those in need while simultaneously working to break the stigma and silence surrounding menstruation.
Our Mission
To ensure every woman and girl in India has access to safe, affordable menstrual hygiene products and comprehensive health education, enabling them to participate fully in education, work, and community life without limitations.
Our Vision
A India where menstruation is no longer a barrier to any woman's potential, where menstrual health is understood as a fundamental right, and where no girl misses school or woman misses work due to lack of menstrual products.
